Buying a used Haas VF-2SS? Put the machines you’re considering on the same basis: required options, condition evidence, seller terms and cost to get it working in your shop.
These public listings illustrate the questions a comparison can surface. They are not verified offers, ORA inventory or a buying recommendation.
Availability, condition, hours and delivered cost are unverified. Asking prices are a dated snapshot and may change. Both examples come from the same marketplace; this sample does not establish independent sellers or a completed cross-seller search.

TSC, conveyor and Renishaw OTS / OMI are advertised.

Still unknown
Current availability, numeric hours, condition, exact included items and installed cost
The newer listing asks less, but missing condition evidence, option details and delivery costs prevent a useful ranking. A better comparison could favor either machine, your current dealer, or waiting.
Why model specifications need checking against the actual machine
Both listings currently state a 36 × 14 in table and a 24-tool changer. Haas’s current VF-2SS page lists a 36 × 14 in table and 30+1 tools. Current model specifications do not establish the configuration of a 2019 or 2021 machine. Resolve the tool-changer difference by serial number and direct evidence; do not substitute a generic model table.
What turns listings into a decision
Evidence before a shortlist.
In an agreed comparison, ORA would organize these checks across the options. This sample has not completed them. Technical inspections and transport remain separate specialist work.
01
Exact machine
Get the serial number, dated option list and included-equipment schedule. Resolve the listed 24-tool changer against the current model’s 30+1 specification.
02
Condition evidence
Request control screenshots for power-on and cutting hours, service history and an under-power video. Agree who will inspect it and what the inspection covers.
03
Delivered cost
Obtain written machine, loading, freight, unloading, rigging and setup amounts for your destination. Add taxes, tooling and any agreed ORA fee.
04
Seller terms
Confirm availability, seller identity and authority to sell, payment terms, removal deadline and any warranty or return terms in writing.

What’s still unresolved?
Start with the machine you need and the decision you’re trying to make. An existing dealer quote is useful; it is not a reason to start over.
ORA will review whether a comparison is a fit. No guaranteed saving, inspection result, machine availability or purchase outcome is promised.
